Black Himalayan salt from the Allnature brand comes from faraway India and Pakistan. Although it is called black Himalayan salt, its color can have several shades, from black-gray, through brick red to pink. The color of Himalayan salt is due to the high iron content in combination with other minerals found in the salt. Himalayan black salt, also known as kala namak or sanchal, is a special type of unrefined volcanic salt.
