Manner wafers consist of five layers of delicate wafers filled with four layers of the finest creamy nut filling. The wafers are sized to fit just right in your mouth. The double aluminum foil with a red tear-off strip was introduced in the 1960s and keeps the classic product fresh and crispy even today.

Manner Neapolitaner wafers were invented in 1898 by the company's founder, Josef Manner I. The size and basic recipe have remained unchanged to this day. Currently, up to 4,000 Manner wafers are sold daily in the Manner store on St. Stephen's Square in Vienna alone.
